Silicate mineral–based rheology/thickening additives deliver multiple benefits in these products, including stabilization, viscosity build, and improved skin feel. Enhanced Suspension & Emulsion Stability

Silicate minerals effectively suspend and disperse oil-phase droplets in emulsions, stabilizing both oil-in-water and water-in-oil systems even at low use levels. Their network prevents settling or agglomeration of various oils, fats, and waxes, and works well in emulsions containing anionic or nonionic surfactants. MCC-CL features low viscosity with strong suspending power, ideal for high-solids products and for suspending pigments, beads, and actives in the aqueous phase. MAS-SVP shows good salt-tolerant suspension stability in salt-containing systems and can serve as a suspension stabilizer where salt levels are relatively high. FHGEL-1002V is an activated gel that can be added directly to water-in-oil systems without pre-gel preparation to maintain emulsion stability.

Rheology & Use-Feel Improvement

Minerals form a card-house structure with good thixotropy that can rebuild after shear is removed. MAS-ET can be used in thick water-in-oil cream systems to improve spreadability and make pumping and pouring smoother while supporting storage stability. MLS-XLG offers good clarity and thixotropy with a fresh feel, and is commonly used in gels, sprays, and clear toothpaste formulations. MCC-CGB combines thixotropy with adsorption and can be used in toothpaste systems to aid pumping and to support formulation design toward odor adsorption and cleaning experience.

Skin-Feel Optimization & Texture Enhancement

Silicate minerals offer good spreadability and can reduce the tackiness and stringiness associated with organic gums or polymers; they are commonly used in toners and facial cleansers. In oil-based systems, FHGEL-LIPW can improve silky application feel and provides relatively high thixotropy, helping lipstick and lip-gloss formulations improve colorant uniformity and reduce the perception of oil migration. FHGEL-CTCCV can improve sensory feel by masking oily or sticky components and is suitable for systems such as antiperspirants.

Synergistic Performance

MCC-HGB offers strong adsorption of sebum and impurities and works synergistically with surfactants to boost cleaning performance; it is widely used in face washes and clay masks. BP-665V provides high transparency and physical stability (acid/alkali, heat, and mechanical shear) and, when combined with organic thickeners, further enhances system stability and formulation flexibility.

Customized Multi-Functional Performance

MCC-ULTRA is a surface-treated acidic bentonite that can supply an acid source to formulations and remain stable under acidic conditions, making it suitable for acidic systems. MAH-3 is a synthetic high–specific-surface-area powder with a petal-like lamellar structure that can carry actives; it has a certain UV-absorption capability and can be evaluated in formulations as a filler or as an auxiliary UV-related ingredient. MAS-SA is a synthetic magnesium aluminum silicate with relatively high oil absorption, binding capability, and heat resistance, and can be used in loose and pressed powders. Fenghong can also customize oleogel products for different oil systems according to customer needs for shade, cost, and performance.
